Catch me if you can: Kai gives Coleen and Wayne Rooney the run around on family day out in Liverpool

The Chuckle brothers kept children entertained with their 'to me, to you' sketches.

And it seems that Coleen and Wayne Rooney were copying the comedy brothers when they stepped out in Liverpool today.

The couple were seen sharing carrying their son Kai passing him between them throughout the day.

When the two-year-old little man was being hugged close by Wayne, Coleen couldn't resist asking for her son for a warm cuddle.
The Littlewoods designer was casually dressed for the afternoon in a pair of jeans, a vest and a red snake-print scarf.

She even ditched her trademark high heels for a pair of red and white Converse trainers.

Little Kai looked adorable in a striped hooded jumper and a pair of jeans while Wayne also opted for a dressed down look.

The family were seen meeting up with Coleen's parents Tony and Colette at the Neighbourhood cafe in Liverpool.
After enjoying a meal together the family were seen saying their goodbyes with Coleen and Wayne walking in the opposite direction to her parents.

On the way home Kai wanted to visit the All Star Barber shop where he gets his hair cut but the shop was closed for a break.

No wonder Wayne and Coleen both couldn't keep their hands off Kai, after all they have only just returned from a holiday in LA without him.

On her way back to the UK on Saturday Coleen tweeted: 'Bye Bye LA!!!! So excited to see my baby!!!!'

It wasn't just Coleen who appeared ecstatic to be reunited with Kai and Wayne was quite the doting dad this afternoon.

The footballer was seen scooping up his son, swinging him in the air and chasing the little man as part of a game.

Disappointed little man: Kai was left upset when the barber's shop he visits was closed on the way home
