And it seems Quentin Tarantino was ready for a well-earned break as he was spotted on holiday with his girlfriend Lianne Spiderbaby in Mexico over the weekend.
The chubby director showed off his stomach as he jumped from the boat, while Lianne cut a more glamorous figure as she dipped her toes into the water as they enjoyed a day of sailing in the Sea of Cortez.

Horror writer Lianne looked much less of a fright in a flattering red and white striped bikini.
She showed off her flat stomach as she sat on the side of the boat, putting on a snorkeling mask as she prepared to explore under the sea.

Lianne meanwhile wore a pretty black and white Aztec themed jumpsuit while her hair was off her face in a neat bun.
Quentin and Lianne only went public with their relationship last month but it is clear why they are a match made in Hollywood heaven.

Her first book Grindhouse Girls: Cinema’s Hardest Working Women will be out later this year but she clearly wasn’t doing research for it as she relaxed on the boat.
While award-winning Quentin’s films often court controversy, Django Unchained has been no exception.

Tarantino defended his inclusion of the word in the script saying: 'They think I should soften it, that I should lie, that I should massage,
'I would never do that when it comes to my characters.'

Quentin also raised eyebrows during an interview with Channel 4 News presenter Krishnan Guru-Murthy.

‘I refuse your question. I’m not your slave and you’re not my master.’
The Reservoir Dogs director is no doubt taking time to regroup his thoughts ahead of the Oscars next month, where he is up for five awards.
