Miley Cyrus gets one of Hollywood's priciest hair cuts ... then puts her new locks straight back in a bun

He is famous for 'The Rachel', Jennifer Anniston's iconic haircut from her Friends days.
And yesterday Hollywood's 'Mane Man' Chris McMillan took his celebrity scissors to Miley Cyrus, giving her a blonder, shorter look.
But despite her new cut and colour - for which she likely paid in the ballpark of $1,000 - the teenager was quick to gather her hair straight back into her stand-by style: a high bun.

Both Miley and McMillan tweeted photos of the hair cut and colour in progress, which appeared to take place at Miley's home.
'who says @ChrisMcMillan doesn't color?' Miley tweeted over a photo of herself in the chair with her newly blonde hair.
'Oh yeah Chris himself :) just for his favorite little angel.'
Miley's Twitter page reached seven million followers this week, and there is even a separate tongue-in-cheek Twitter account devoted to her hair called Miley's Bun.

Miley's Bun tweeted after the haircut: 'I think the most important thing a woman can have - next to talent, of course is her hairdresser, @ChrisMcMillan thanks duuuuude.'
McMillan has a salon in the heart of Beverly Hills, but it's not unusual for a stylist to the stars to make home visits to the likes of Cameron Diaz, Gwyneth Paltrow, Kirsten Dunstand Nicole Richie - all of whom have been McMillan's clients.
And while a haircut at his salon will generally cost about $200 to $350, with McMillan himself it's $600 - and that's before colour, which in McMillan's salon is usually done by a different person who specializes in the field.
For highlights, Hollywood's in-demand colourists start at around $300, which means a cut and colour like Miley's will cost at least $900 -- before tips.

A thousand-dollar haircut is a drop in the ocean for the  Hannah Montana starlet, whose net worth stood at around $54 million last year.
The actress and pop singer is back in Los Angeles after visiting her fiance, Liam Hemsworth, on the set of his new movie Paranoia in Philadelphia.
According to one recent report, the 22-year-old Australian was keen for Miley to go back to LA because she was proving to be 'too much of a distraction' while he was at work.
Miley and Liam met on the set of 2009’s The Last Song and have been inseparable ever since.
He popped the question on May 31 with a 3.5-carat diamond ring from renowned jeweler Neil Lane.
