I'll be your Mrs Robinson': Katy Perry plays the perfect cougar as she kisses One Direction star Niall Horan on the lips

It's usually his band mate Harry Styles who has a soft spot for older women, but last night Niall Horan followed in his footsteps.
The 18-year-old singer was lucky enough to get a kiss on the lips from Katy Perry at the MTV Video Music Awards last night, and he certainly enjoyed it.
As the boy band made their acceptance speech after being given an award, the 27-year-old star surprised him with a peck - but not on his cheek.

Katy made sure she turned heads on the red carpet wearing a stunning sheer gown.
The singer traded her candy coloured costumes for a more elegant look in a black Elie Saab dress with sequin detailing.

The U.S star, who was up for four awards tonight, showed off her curves in the stunning Saab number with leather detailing before taking a seat inside the Staples Center in downtown L.A. next to friend Rihanna.

She presented the Moonman to One Direction for their hit single What Makes You Beautiful.
Niall promptly tweeted a picture of the pair kissing, writing to Katy: '@NiallOfficial: @katyperry looks like its official ... me and you', to which the amused singer wrote back: 'I'll be your Mrs. Robinson...'
Katy, clearly a big fan of the teen sensations, earlier took to the micro-blogging website, frantically posting her fears One Direction had cancelled its performance at the event.

She tweeted: 'If One Direction doesn't perform on the VMAs I am gonna jump off this ledge.' But realising she was mistaken, promptly backtracked before they took the stage: 'Oh, it was just a rumor.'
Katy is nominated for four VMAs tonight: Video of the Year (Wide Awake), Best Visual Effects in a Video (Wide Awake), Best Art Direction in a Video (Wide Awake) and Best Female Video (Part of Me).
The star, originally from Santa Barbara, took to Twitter again after winning the prize for Best Art Direction.

The VMAs will have undoubtedly brought back painful memories for Katy, who began dating ex-husband Russell Brand shortly after a run-in at the VMAs in 2009.

The pair were married in October, 2010, but finalised their divorce just earlier this year.
The Video Music Awards will air in the UK on September 7 at 9pm on MTV.
